Danette brings two decades of rich experience to her practice, specializing in supporting individuals facing the complexities of aging, grief, chronic medical conditions, and mental health challenges. Her empathetic and holistic approach is rooted in understanding and addressing the unique needs of each individual she works with.

Danette's academic journey is marked by a diverse range of disciplines, each contributing to her comprehensive understanding of human psychology and healthcare. She earned her bachelor's degree in pre-medicine and psychology from Ohio Wesleyan University and the University of Louisiana. Building upon this foundation, she pursued graduate training in School-Based and Christian Counseling at Concordia University. She furthered her education at the University of Nebraska, where she obtained her master's degree in Clinical Social Work with a focus on individual and small group counseling.

Before establishing her current practice, Danette gained invaluable experience as a medical social worker in various healthcare settings. Her tenure in hospice, home healthcare, emergency room, nursing home, and dialysis environments equipped her with a deep understanding of the intersection between physical health and mental well-being.

In her practice, Danette employs a multifaceted approach tailored to meet the diverse needs of her clients. She often integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) alongside other modalities, ensuring a personalized treatment plan that aligns with her clients' goals. Danette's commitment to ongoing learning is reflected in her certifications in Geriatric Mental Health and Grief Counseling, highlighting her dedication to providing specialized care.
